The SB 40L, featuring the Safeback avalanche survival system, is one of the lightest avalanche safety packs on the market after the SB 30L while also being fully featured and able to accommodate hut trips and overnight objectives. The SBX system can be easily removed and only takes up .75L in the pack vs. the 4-6L of a typical airbag pack, giving the SB 40L the ultimate versatility.
