The ASCENT 28 S AVABAG is an airbag backpack designed especially for women. This ski touring backpack has a much shorter back system than our regular backpacks, as well as hip and shoulder straps adapted to the female anatomy.

That’s why we discarded all unnecessary features when designing our extremely light avalanche backpack. We concentrate on what is essential.

In terms of features, this avalanche backpack is in no way inferior to its big brother, the ASCENT 30 AVABAG. From the separate safety compartment to the circumferential zipper, from hydration system compatibility and ice axe and rope fastenings to the diagonal ski fastener – it has everything you need for a long ski tour! What’s more, this ski touring backpack is also suitable for men with shorter backs. Don’t worry: the avalanche backpack is also available in neutral colors.
In addition, an AVABAG UNIT can be easily and quickly installed into our ASCENT 28 AVABAG.The AVABAG airbag system built into the backpack is with its 690 grams* extremely light and sensationally compact. Other equally unique features of this system are the activation training, which allows repeated activation practice without the cartridge attached, as well as the ergonomically optimized activation handle, which can be gripped optimally with both the left and right hand.
