Each evening, from 5:00-Close, join us for the Ascent Outdoor Happy Hour as we'll be serving snacks and some delicious libations from local Ballard Breweries.

Multi-Pitch Rock Rescue with Ian Nicholson

Class Begins at 7:30
Rock climbing season is here and, we're offering a free multi-pitch rock rescue class with Ian Nicholson. Whether you're new to multi-pitch climbing or need a refresher, rock rescue is key to self sufficiency and safety while traveling through vertical terrain. Learn how to escape a belay, counterbalance rappel, haul, and deal with an unconscious climber.

Outdoor Women's Alliance Speaker Series with Kjersti Christensen | Unknown Trails
Join us at Second Ascent for the fourth installment of our on-going Women's Speaker Series with Vertical World & Outdoor Women's Alliance. This series is the result of collaborating with some of our most inspiring friends in the outdoor sports community.
Whether you climb, ski, run, or bike, these presenters will bring stories of their lives in adventure - and might even give you reason to ditch that day job and pursue your dreams.
About Kjersti:
Kjersti was born and raised in the PNW and works in marketing for Outdoor Research. She is a nationally ranked women's pro downhill mountain bike racer, grassroots athlete for Majesty Skis, and recreational climber. Her greatest life feat to date is eating an entire seafood platter from Red Lobster in one sitting. She loves spending long days in the mountains, spreading stoke, spending time with her family, and inspiring people to spend more time in beautiful places. May 3
