A Discussion on Women in the Outdoors | May 17

Ascent Outdoors, Vertical World, and Outdoor Women's Alliance present an evening of engaging discussion on how we use connection in the backcountry to tackle issues in the front country. We've put together a panel of local women - adventurers, guides, athletes, artists, and industry professionals - in an attempt to inspire and empower. We'll discuss what unique role women play in the outdoor space, what it means to be a women in an outdoor leadership role, what challenges we face, and how we can use the outdoors to build community.

Steph Jagger

Coach, Speaker, World-Record Smasher & author of UNBOUND: A Story of Snow & Self-Discovery

Steph Jagger splits her time between Southern California and British Columbia where she dreams big dreams, writes her heart out, and runs an executive & life coaching practice. She holds a CEC (certified Executive Coach) degree from Royal Roads University and she believes courageous living doesn’t happen with one toe dangling in, but that we jump in, fully submerge, and sit in the juice. Think pickle, not cucumber.

In January 2017 Steph published her first book, a memoir called UNBOUND: A Story of Snow & Self-Discovery. The story details a trip she took in 2010/2011 which saw her chasing winter around the globe in search of snow. In the time she was gone she broke the world record for The Most Vertical Feet Skied in a Year (4,161,823 to be exact).
